Enquiries. When you contact us through the website form, by email or by WhatsApp, we receive the details you provide — typically your name, work email address, the topic of your enquiry and your message. We use this to respond to you and, where the conversation continues, to prepare a proposal or agreement. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you initiated) and, where relevant, steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability.
Website analytics. We run our own first-party analytics on this site. When you visit a page we record: your IP address; the approximate country, region and city that address resolves to; the internet provider or organisation the address belongs to; the pages you view and the order you view them in; how long you spend on a page and how far you scroll; the site or campaign that referred you; and your browser, operating system, device type and language. We use this to understand which markets and which products our visitors are interested in, and to improve the site. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — running and improving a business website, and understanding demand for our services. We do not use this data to make automated decisions about you, and we do not attempt to identify you personally.
Cookies. This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Our analytics identify a visit using a temporary code calculated from your IP address and browser, salted and re-generated every day, which cannot be reversed and cannot follow you across days or to other websites. There is therefore nothing for you to consent to or opt out of on a cookie banner.
Do Not Track. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, our analytics do not run at all.
Fonts and location lookup. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a standard request (including your IP address) to Google's servers when a page loads. To turn an IP address into an approximate country and organisation we use the IP geolocation service ip-api.com; the IP address is sent to that service and the result is cached by us.
Maps. Some pages embed a Google Maps view of a location. When such a page loads, your browser contacts Google's servers directly to fetch the map, and Google receives your IP address and the map request under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive nothing from Google in return and we do not use the map to track you.
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share enquiry details with third parties except the service providers who run our infrastructure — website and email hosting — and where the law requires disclosure. Client work is confidential by default.
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records. Where an enquiry becomes an engagement, records are kept in line with our contractual and legal obligations.
Website analytics records, including IP addresses, are deleted automatically 12 months after the visit.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; ask us to restrict or object to processing; and ask for data portability where applicable. Email info@spadvis.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
If we change this notice, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date.
